I think that this is a good topic. There are many effects that online social networks have caused, this project on them should expose what can actually happen. Try to find some cases that bad outcomes have occurred as a result of these social networks to back up the topic.

I am not exactly sure what your argument is. I think you have the right idea and logical flow for the argument but are you saying we should have facebook because... or are you saying these things have been created because of facebook?

Your outline looks good. You seem to have a good idea of where you want to go. Facebook is a big part of our lives now, haha, so this will be interesting.

Your outline looks very thorough. You definitely need to include specific cases where facebook has led to very negative outcomes. This would really strengthen your argument.

You have a great topic that a lot of people can relate to. It will be very easy to write to your audience. Since facebook is so popular you won't have much trouble finding information on it.

I like your topic, however, in order to make your argument stronger you need to mention the opposite side of the argument. Maybe try to incorporate the steps that facebook has taken to allow people to block their page, etc.

Throughout your presentation, you may want to sprinkle Facebook images. There is a program that allows you to snatch a page as it is and insert it into a presentation. This will allow you to show the News Feed and the status updates and so on. Ask CCIT about this.

Your argument is that bad things can come from Facebook. Consider your tone as you arrange your argument. Think like a marketer. Since this is a presentation, you don't want to show your ace at the beginning, but you do want to hook the audience. So arrange it so that your first argumentative point is very concerning and will hook the audience and your last is the most concerning or sensationalist and will stay with them.

NEVER start strong and end weak. ALWAYS start strong and end stronger

Very interesting topic! I think you are going to have a lot of people disagreeing with you. I can't wait to see how you address counter arguments.

How are you going to present this topic? Do you have any reliable sources that can back up your argument? I think it might be slightly difficult to find statistics and other information about facebook. Maybe you could talk about the negative effects that myspace, facebook and other social networking websites cause because there would probably be more information to back you up if you broadened your topic slightly.

This is going to be a great topic, especially for the portion of the audience that includes your peers and college students since the large majority of us have facebooks or other types of social networks.
