I like the outline, but a better example that can be used is Tip Drill by Nelly. There was a lot of controversy surrounding that soung and Spellman (an all girls school) canceled his Bone Marrow drive for his sister who had cancer. She later on died because of this cancer. This song in general would be a Major help for your topic.

i don't think it will be difficult to make your point, especially with all the proof playing on the radio. just as a suggestion, i think it could be interesting to have a section that attempts to explain why. you could research gender roles and analyze the "hardcore" tendency of rap and how exploiting women and bad language add to that.

I think this is a good topic. It seems like you have every aspect covered. Im interested in seeing how this project comes together. I dont know what medium you're planning on using but I think a website with music videos on it would be the most effective.

This is a great topic and your outline covers a lot of aspects of rap music which clarifies what you are arguing. If you could find an interview or journal by a video dancer, I think this would strengthen the argument considerably

You will be able to use a VH1 show to support all this information. You should look it up, I don't remember the name of it right now, but it gives personal experiences from women who were on music videos just for the money. This will help you come up with a lot of examples of women being exploited.

i would interview women to get their persepectives on why women are in these types of things, and then interview men and compare and contrast the two

I'm unsure how your group willl organize this argument but once it comes together, it should be really interesting to see the different videos compared and contrasted. Is a website going to be used?

I really like your outline, but I don't think that it will work for this project. It will require too much research to be good and end up being an hour long presentation.

You should consider refining your focus to either the lyrics/videos/both of a few songs, or the reasons women participate, or the effects on self-image. I'm not saying that you won't touch on all three in your presentation. I just mean that you should focus on one.

I like the idea and outline...I am very interested to see the counter arguements

This is a really interesting topic considering that most people don't even think about what rappers are saying in their songs. There is definitely plenty of proof out there with all of the music videos and lyrical content you can find online.

This is Sam Jones' and my topic too. We forgot to include this on the post. To Pam and Candace, I think we are planning on using video post on a web site to visually express the negative influence of rap videos. Thanks for helping us narrow our topic and medium.

Really interesting topic, can't wait for the presentation. It's also a really good outline.

This outline is put together very well and I think your paper/presentation will flow smoothly if you follow it.

I like how you already picked out the videos that you are going to refer to and that they are most likely videos all of your peers have seen. It will make it easier for your audience to relate and have interest in the topic :)
