If you are trying to develop a system where the best team always wins then a playoff system may not be the best way. the bcs definitely gets things wrong but a playoff system would allow any cinderella team a chance to be #1, which is entertaining but doesn't sound like what you are arguing.

It will be interesting if you can actually get the athletic director's and Dabo Swinney's opinion on the BCS system.I like how you are bringing in the Division 1-AA playoff system into your argument and the success it has had.

I like this set up. Realize that Clemson University students are not average joes. Think about the word average. The average person is not a college student or any remote part of the Clemson community. Maybe you should go find Joe Plumber. I think he's related to Average Joe. Consider getting the opinions of people who are 1-A fans but are not affiliated with Clemson. You could even get the opinion of someone from some 1-AA schools.

As you present others' opinions make sure that you tie them to your opinion somehow. Don't let your overall argument or your minor argumentative points get lost in their opinions.

Are there reputable sources that have already speculated an alternative system? If there are you should include part of their ideas as you build your system. Cite them as always. This will show your audience your process on video (how you made decisions about keeping and rejecting certain system ideas).

I hope this makes sense. As always, ask if you don't understand or need help.
