Our topic is Negative Ad Campaigns and their affect on how people vote and look at candidates.

This is a great idea. You should include fallacy regarding personal attacks, which many politicians use.

Researching this topic should be an interesting process in looking for legitimate information on presidential campaigns. I would include specific elections and candidates, analyzing their particular influence on voters. Obviously our most recent election will provide an abundant amount of examples.

You can really do a lot with this topic. Especially since we just ended an election so there should be plenty of negative ads for you.

You could include direct comparisons of the campaign ads to the way the person they negatively portray actually votes on issues. Using specific examples will strengthen your argument

You included your topic, but not an argument. It seems like your argument will form after some research. Remember that even if you hypothesize (from hypo-THESIS), you can revise your hypothesize (argument) throughout the research process.
